The plot felt very rushed. The anime could have used maybe 10 to 15 more episodes to develop some plot points and characters a bit more thoroughly. Even so, the battle scenes were quite well made, and I liked the religious theme they had throughout. Also some very strong and emotional drama aspects in place. And when all is said and done, it is a mecha anime after all. I should count myself lucky that I got this much depth in the show :)
