Summary:
Humans live in the world of Assiah, demons in Gehenna. The two dimensions are not meant to interfere with each other, but demons still possess creatures in Assiah in spite of this. The humans who can fight these demons are known as exorcists. Rin Okumura is a boy who bears the curse of being Satan's illegitimate son. His foster father sacrificed himself to save him from demons. To avenge his foster father's death as well as to prove himself, Rin decides to follow the path of an exorcist.
Think everyone who wanted to watch already noticed, but this anime's full version can be found under its Japanese name "Ao no Exorcist" (http://anime-access.com/anime/A/Ao_no_Exorcist_%28TV%29).

-STORY: Good pace, and it is short (always a plus as there can't be fillers, lol). However, a few twists more and a bit more time on the characters would have given this anime a serious boost - or, in other words, this has too much wasted potential. The story is pretty predictable, and in all its predictability (read more)

However, a few twists more and a bit more time on the characters would have given this anime a serious boost - or, in other words, this has too much wasted potential. The story is pretty predictable, and in all its predictability and somewhat-known concept too generic for me. The end leaves too many mysteries hanging.
Character development is barely notable, and a grand part of the characters is either pretty clichéd (protagonist & female main charas) or stay flat due to lack of elaboration time (antagonists).
-DIALOGUE: Humour saves it from being a fail, but aside from the comedy aspect, it is rather generic and not really special compared to other shounen anime (believe me, I watched a lot).
-ANIMATION: Vibrant colours, fitting music, and the animation itself is close to the highest level.
-ENTERTAINMENT: This anime's shortness and comedy saved it for me, but generally, I found this to be somewhat overrated. It's good for a short relaxing change if you want to stay in the shounen genre; it is also recommended for anime newbies looking for something funny; but if you get your hopes up too high in terms of plot and characters, you will be disappointed.

What more can you ask of an anime to give you?
When everything is just above good, from the moment it starts your held by curiosity. You want to know more, you want to understand more, you want your questions answered but happy to wait.
Not many anime do get the simple balance of the story, fun factor, character development, dialogue and viewer satisfaction straight. Am happy to say that Blue Exorcist has that balance on check.
Just to say, it's an anime I would give up to anyone looking for something mind chilling with a zing. With out (read more)
