Summary:
Two years ago, Shibuya was ravaged by a biological terrorist attack using the deadly Ua virus. Maria Osawa was saved when her father inoculated her against the virus, but is left with partial amnesia from the shock. Now working as a cameraman, she reunited with her friend Canaan in Hong Kong. Canaan is an assassin gifted with synesthesia, and she's being targeted by the terrorist squad Snake. Meanwhile, numerous groups converge on Hong Kong, all after either Canaan or Maria.
i love this anime! plenty of action, guns, girls shooting guns wat can be better? i would highly recommend this anime to 14 and up (due to language) this is an anime that many people would enjoy if you like the black lagoon you will love this anime
Canaan was first of all, an excellent action-packed anime. The battle scenes were amazing, and with her powers like that, I really wish I had them XD. Story was original with the concept, though some bits about terrorism, and fighting against it could have been more different from previous anime series. At some points though, the characters appear to be weak, yet this weakness depicts the true nature of human beings, which makes it very realistic in some ways. But if there could have been improvements, then I honestly have to say there would have been so much more potential to begin the anime from the very beginning, right from where Canaan first met Siam. Though people say the short and sweet makes short series great, I would have loved to see the real in-depth plot of this anime. AWWW MAN, even if they did a second season, would have been nice as well. =)
But I think this is a definite must-watch, especially for you psychological/action-loving peoples. (show less)

I loved the characters in Canaan and the relationship between Canaan and Maria is unique. The action and story line kept me on the edge of my seat. Couldn't get enough, I watched it from finish to end. I would recommend it to anyone who loves action/adventure.

I love this anime, I started watching yesterday morning, an finished last night. A bit short, But very good.
Art is very nice, totally enjoyable.
Story/plot is very well played, could use a little work, but it's good.
this anime has a very well thought out story and easy to love characters. it is full of action and adventure. canaan, the main character, is one of those girls with a cool, unique, and unbeatable fighting ability and an unwavering stern expression and disposition who fights to protect her best friend. (the only person who seems to care about her at all, you'd protect that too right?) her and her best friends lives are in depth and full of secrets that in the end are all revealed. the animation is fantastic to say the least and it'll keep you craving (read more)
