Summary:
Two years ago, Shibuya was ravaged by a biological terrorist attack using the deadly Ua virus. Maria Osawa was saved when her father inoculated her against the virus, but is left with partial amnesia from the shock. Now working as a cameraman, she reunited with her friend Canaan in Hong Kong. Canaan is an assassin gifted with synesthesia, and she's being targeted by the terrorist squad Snake. Meanwhile, numerous groups converge on Hong Kong, all after either Canaan or Maria.
Canaan was first of all, an excellent action-packed anime. The battle scenes were amazing, and with her powers like that, I really wish I had them XD. Story was original with the concept, though some bits about terrorism, and fighting against it could have been more different from previous anime series. At some points though, the characters appear to be weak, yet this weakness depicts the true nature of human beings, which makes it very realistic in some ways. Yet it was all too interesting to take too much note of these minor things. honestly my fav character was Alphard. Dunno y.
But if there could have been improvements, then I honestly have to say there would have been so much more potential to begin the anime from the very beginning, right from where Canaan first met Siam. Though people say the short and sweet makes short series great, I would have loved to see the real in-depth plot of this anime. AWWW MAN, even if they did a second season, would have been nice as well. =)
But I think this is a definite must-watch, especially for you psychological/action-loving peoples.
