This is the English American series of the popular Japanese Series Card Captor Sakura.
Sakura Avalon a 10th grader, one day accidentially opens a magic book, found in her basement. When opened the 'clow cards' that were contianed within the book excaped, to reep havock on the earth.
It is now up to Sakura to recapture the cards as she is now a Cardcaptor.

I'm sure this is nearly everyone's starting point to anime. Well either that or Naruto, Bleach or Sailor Moon.
I loved watching this series when i was younger. It's something i'd always remember since the opening tune is catchy and the story is very original. Since the anime series is a little different from Manga it sure does live up to the standard. I love the animation and art style of this anime and there is plenty of funny scenes. Sakura, Kero, Yue and Syaraon remain my favourite characters.

You would never be bored as you watch each episode since the story often has something you would remember at least. There is a slight bit of drama to this anime that you would indeed like if you like action followed by rather unique relationships. If you are not sure what i mean go read the manga first before you watch this anime.
In my opinion the anime did end in a slight disappointing scale where you kinda wish there was more episodes. Still regardless of this you would enjoy watching the entire anime. (show less)
I love this anime and manga (I love everything CLAMP), but to have it only in Japanese...I put dialogue and entertainment low, only because the viersion I have the sub-titles go by so fast, even with "the pause button" one is not able to stop and read what is said. If I could get all 70 episodes in English, it would be a dream come true. I know they released it a long time ago on VHS (in English). Now if they would only put it in English on DVD. I would be the first in line to buy it! The two movies can be found in English on DVD. They are (read more)
