Summary:
Takumi is a high school student. He is withdrawn and is not interested in 3D things. In his town, a mysterious serial murder case happens and people get panicked. One day, when he chats on the internet, a man suddenly contacts him and gives him an URL. He goes to the website and finds a blog image that suggests a next murder case.... On the next day, it really happens....
Takumi Nishijō suffers from intense delusions as a result of his apparent schizophrenia and the extremely secluded lifestyle he lives as a hikkikomori. One day he accidentally stumbles upon a gruesome murder scene, a part of a chain of events called "New Generation." After this, his life gets caught up in these events, and he meets a bunch of increasingly insane anime girls with swords.
maybe it's confusing at start, but no worries!!
after a while, you'll understand the story and it's so tricky and entertaining because i can't guessed what would happen to him and that girl (#wink)..
the romance in it is acceptable and not rushed, the battle is awesome and the ending is great. ah, how i wish this anime could be more longer >V<
i've watched half of the series and i do like it; however, the main character is REALLY annoying. He's a sniveling coward that you just want to punch in the face. And there is no way all these pretty girls would give him the time of day. Other than that the storyline is interesting as you progress through the main characters delusions trying to figure out what is real and what is just his delusion.

If you like cliched "Rainbows and Ponies" fantasies or cutie-pie romances, then you are really missing out!
This has made my list as one of the greatest anime series of 2008! This thrilling tale of mystery upon mystery really brings out a certain ambiance that truly speaks to a person. The overall cinematics and story line were done exceptionally. The only thing that makes me feel disappointed is that it was a little short, seeing that it was only a 12-part series. I think it would have been perfect as a 24-part series, but it still was more than sufficient in captivating me. I just noticed how many genres this anime has and damn its a lot, but its understandable really because following what goes on was insane, this anime was insane quite literally insane, but highly enjoyable if you consider looking at the world in the eyes of a delusional anime neet. That's the show in a nut shell but so much more happens in the short episodes its mind blowing but also to a certain degree funny at some points, the best aspects of this anime is the suspense your kept at, you never can tell what is reality at some points and what is (read more)

Now the story at the start might be a bit confusing but it pieces itself as the episodes go by which i think is awesome anyways this is all great although i hated the ending cuz it left me to think whats gonna happen next.

At first, this anime is quite entertaining because of the mystery and character developpement wich is a bit unusual, but then it takes a weird turn. Since it's such a short anime (12 episodes), i find that they rush the story so much that it becomes boring in a sense. They just give you context about mysterious incidents and solve it all in the 4 last episodes (wich includes swords and other stuff out nowhere). The main character is kind of annoying after 4-5 episodes.
So in the end, i did watch it all, so i guess it as some entertainement. (read more)

The series was a little short but worth watching. Had an interesting twist and keeps you wonder till the end. Worth watching.
i really love this series, it just keeps on getting better! the reason why i like it so much is the wow factor, it keeps you on the edge of your seat. this is not just entertainment, this is quality!
