Summary:
Allen Walker, a young man with a cursed eye, lives to destroy a weapon known as Akuma. These weapons created by the Milleneum Earl are sent out by his command to purge the world from humans. Allen Walker uses an anti-akuma weapon, Innocence, to counter the Earl's attempts at destroying humanity. He travels to the Black Order by his mentor's directions. There he meets with others who also fight against the Milleneum Earl's plans. But more questions start to appear as Allen and his friends move further along to reach their goal. And these questions that seem to connect to Allen's past.

All in all, D.Gray-Man is one of the best Animes that I have ever seen. The Story is really interesting and exciting, the action is great and the animation couldn't be better. There isn't really a character I don't like and even the villains are loveable characters. It is never too seroius, never missing the fun or some romance.
In many reviews people are complaining about the shitty way the D.gray-man anime ended and I have to admit that you are right, but i read the manga afterwards and you are not really missing anything. The anime stopped, because the mangaka of d.gray-man got a serious illness that had put the manga of d.gray-man on hitaus for nearly a year. Not knowing if it would ever continue the makers of the anime wanted to end it and afterwards i really have to say: Good decision. Because everything that followed the last episode of D.Gray-Man is nothing but pure rubbish. OK, the ending they choose in the anime is really dissatisfying and all but it really is better than what is awaiting you in the anime.

I mean, many of Allen's friends seems to be dying (Kanda seems to have died) You don't see anything about Lavi anymore, Allen changes sides (yeah the order seems to be evil now) the noah seems to be best buddys with Allen and Lenalee is again reduced to some crying damsel. On the Top of that, there is a stupid background story to why kanda became the man he is, then there are some stupid artificial Excorists and some stupid looking new enemy at the order. The only cool thing is seeing the remaining Noahs.

So just be happy with the ending you got in the anime and keep a good memory of this anime. Don't let it be ruined with what d.gray-man has become.
