Summary:
Ganta Igarashi has been convicted of a crime that he hasn't committed, and sent to a new, privately owned and operated prison, where the inmates are the main attraction in a modern day twist to the gladiatorial coliseums of ancient times. Throw in a healthy dose of weird little girl, some new-found super powers, and a little conspiracy theory, and you have Deadman Wonderland.

I dont know why but when i was watching the first 3 to 4 episodes of this anime, my excitement is at its highest but as the anime progresses, my excitement decrease.. its not that its not a good anime but maybe the action in the first 3 episodes where much better rather than the actions of its incoming episodes.. and i do demand a second season for this anime. I want to know how would ganta reacts if he finds out who is the "akai otoko"..
you must see this anime.. its worth watching after all..

Hello everyone.
In the Animation Category this anime is really good. Great choice of superhuman power and great use of the 'camera'.
I would've liked to see more moves from the main character, and less crying. I understand that he's still young and scared, but I'm glad it stopped at some point.
It has a good and interesting storyline and I would recommend this anime to anyone.

The story is poor, which is very mainstream these days, false acquisitions, black mail or what are you call it.. It's too common and the main character are not complex in characteristic which is weak, pity and less determined, I personally hate those kind of person that become a winner or the story refers to.....
but, it done good with Shiro and other deadman such as mocking bird, owl etc,
,For Dialogue, well, it's to common....
Animation, done good in this anime, not "too disappointing" Even the soundtrack is boring...

I think this show is intresting because it is about a kid who is framed for murdering his entire class and then is put into a prison called deadman wonderlad as a death row inmate "meaning he is sentenced to death". When he is here he discovers he has powers and finds friends to help him while he trys to prove he is inocencent. Im waiting for new episodes though.

+ interesting but twisted concept, shows the "darkness of human nature"
+ characters make you feel with them
+ good graphics
cons
- deviates from the manga and stops at the best part
- animation has its hiccups
- unnecessarily cruel in places
conclusion: first i have to say is that this anime features absolutely insane cruelty. it's not so bloody it could gain the title of 'second elfen lied' but i felt like it's unnecessarily brutal in places. 17+.

now for the real comment... in a twisted way, it's interesting enough if you're in for the darkness/brutality. graphics are good, the charas are designed so you're able to actually empathise with them, and the whole anime shows a look into "human nature"/the darkness of it. interesting in a twisted way, but personally, i prefer the manga, for the simple fact that this anime got cut short, aka stops right where it starts getting interesting.
