Summary:
In the future, Japan is a wasteland. In the Great Kanto Desert, scattered humans eke out a living in the hot sand. Among them, a short-statured man they call "Sunabozu" makes a living as a bounty hunter. Like a demon of the sand, he seems unbeatable. Yet, like all men, he has a particular weakness for the opposite sex...
This is a light anime nothing serious an hilarious if watched as such. The story is intriguing and surprisingly good. loved the anime style and hope for a season two. don't judge it as a serious anime just watch it as fun and you'll be amazed.

This anime combines action and humor in the post-apocalyptic Japan. It's not like many other series with this theme because it's unique.. There are many funny situations in which the main character Kanto loses his head because of the girl with the large breasts. :o) And also his fighting style is awkward, and he manages to outsmart many enemies.
title is mainly cuz i'm sure it'll set it as four star which is not what i want, don't take this completely bad i own it on dvd and personally i should have torrented it, but the like 1/3 of the anime was really cool to me, it wasn't like a huge epic hero story with some impossible adventure to save the universe like most animes are, which is why i found this one to be up my alley, it was about day to day life and survival, where it lost me was when later in the episodes it attempts to scrape together a deeper plot (which is only in my opinion of (read more)

On another note just so it's clear i do understand the importance of a good plot, but for this special case it was great in the sense that the general idea was it's life there is not story to stick to in it, just an adventure that writes itself as you go along, for this, i can't get enough of the beginning of the anime, it saddens me that i can't stomach the last half (show less)

This show wasn't that great. By the time there was an actual plot I didn't care anymore. I hated most of the characters. Every now and then one of the characters would do something that would redeem themselves, but they would then do something that would annoy me. The only character I really liked was Amagumo, but he wasn't in the show that much.
The best 24 episode anime you'll ever watch. There is usually a point you get to where it seems like there is no good anime out there and you want to take up a new hobby. Well dont just watch desert punk. Its amazing, just watch it. iv recommended it to 10 people without telling them what its about and they were all left crying for more! more! moooooooooore!!!!!!!

It has its ups and downs. To say it shortly. its acceptable, the dialogs are not very great, and most of the time they are making fun of it all. but in the overall story it has its monemts that really made up for much of this series.
