Summary:
hen the original digidestined were little they witnessed a fight between two digimon in their world, years later they destroyed an evil digimon on the internet accidently created by an American boy called Willis. Now Willis and the 2nd generation of digidestined must defeat what was not really destroyed before.
I personally watched this movie when I was incredibly young, so back in the day, what really got me glued to it was the animation. However I watched it again a few nights back, and I must say, it's just as impressive as it was when I was a kid.
I thoroughly enjoyed every single thing about the animated movie. There are such fantastic points to this film, so allow me to list them:

I thoroughly enjoyed every single thing about the animated movie. There are such fantastic points to this film, so allow me to list them:
1. Even if you're not clued in on what exactly a 'Digimon' is or what the series is about, there's no need to worry. Every single thing is explained in superb pace as the movie goes along, and as long as you're attentive, you'll find out everything about Digimon you need to know. The story is incredibly believable, and I especially love the transition between time zones. For example, when Tai and Kari are introduced as kids, and their first Digi-egg appears. The time skips as well are done well, and don't leave you sitting there wondering how on earth it was even possible. There's a great attention to pace in the movie, as it doesn't move too fast, neither does it drag on too slow.
2. I watched the movie in English, and I must say -- I'm usually quite brutal when it comes to dubbing, but the English voices in this movie were fantastic. There was great humour in the areas I never thought the English language would prevail in, but the voice actors were just as animated as the characters! I laughed at an awful-lot of things, so I definitely give them a thumbs-up for this. :)
3. The animation has to be the most vital part of this review... I was completely blown-away by how real-time everything was. The dynamics were spectacular. There was not a second wasted of an action scene, considering everything was thoroughly well-planned and it holds your attention like no tomorrow. Everything was so well-done, I simply can't comment anything else on this aspect!!
4. My last point, and overall, this was SUCH an entertaining movie. I absolutely enjoyed it right to the finish, and the soundtrack was simply mind-blowing. The songs they used for particular action scenes were spot-on! Everything about this movie just gripped me right until the credits, and even then, I wanted to continue watching the text roll.
All in all, fantastic movie that I highly recommend for those out there who want a taste of some really good fantasy action. It's really the best animated movie I've ever watched, and I don't think I'll ever stop watching it. :D (show less)
Poke'mon? What's that? It's quite difficult to find an "Anime" that has an original story and idea. Who would've ever thought of a Digital Monster in the form of some animal. This movie speaks the unity of the original idea of warrior pets at war with mental monsters.
