Summary:
In the 11th year of the Meiji era: the Japanese population is increasingly dissatisfied with the government due to the increasing speed of Westernisation and the ban on samurai. In order to curb the increased rate of crime, the government opens a new prison. The three brothers of the Kumo family â Chuutarou, Soramaru, and Tenka â are entrusted with the duty of transporting these criminals to the new prison, but adventures await them on the way...
"Donten ni Warau" already finished watching all episode today!
Story- its pretty good ! the story is awesome (for 4 episode at the begininng are little boring) but after ep 4 or so its begin more interesting, Im impressed how its turn out !! the story really touching n sad T.T
n have many good n precious message i can learn from it!
Graphic- the design char are prettygood, but the animation still bit off ( at battle scene only) all good!
what i want to say is "give it try :3" !! GOOD historical anime <3
First 4 episodes,its quite boring. But when it comes to 5th episode suddenly the plot become interesting and trust me it is worth watching. Starting 5th episode above,the thrills begin and tears wont stop coming (Sorry I keep crying non stop) . Why this anime has a lame beginning? most people may abandon this but lucky I watch this till the end. Just bear the 'spoilers' for 4 episodes, after that this anime is simply AWESOME!
I'll rate it 8/10. - minus two because of the early episodes.

Okay, I won't make this big. Donten no Warau is simply brilliant. The characters, the emotions, the plot, everything is in perfect balance. Very inspirational but very tragic at the same time. Definitely recommended, a must-watch!
