It is very brief, bizarre, and absolutely entertaining. It's can be a little difficult to follow especially with the strange dialogue moments, but so full of random comedy that you can't help but keep watching. FLCL is one of those things you just have to see for yourself. Either you'll appreciate it or you won't, but at the least you'll get some laughs out of it. Not recommended for a younger audience though, as there are a fair amount of sexual allusions and some mild gore. Enjoy!
If you're interested in an anime with almost no major plot line yet packed with humor and occasional erotica, this is a solid choice. For example, the first episode is completed with a mecha battle which takes place between two bots which had spawned from the forehead of the protagonist, and is then saved by a spiky haired girl wielding a guitar which can be pull-started like a chainsaw.
Although through deeper analysis of the episodes, one may be able to find a common theme or meaning, there remains no obvious plot. Full of constant random ramblings (read more)

Full of constant random ramblings and nonsensical ravings from the antagonist, whom may be a secondary protagonist, the actual content causes the viewer to want to see the next episode out of curiosity of what could possibly happen next. Although the anime itself is very entertaining the story is so confusing and nothing really seems to make sense or has any plans on making sense in the future. The music adds to the action of the show and the animation is ok at best. The charaters are funnay and odd but you like them but with the show being so short you can't really get to know the characters as mush as you would with other animes. The biggest probelm is that this animae is SO short you can't really get any story to make sense. If you can get over that and watch it JUST for entertainment (read more)
