Summary:
A dream of falling from the sky...and then birth. Rakka is born from a large cocoon into the Old Home, greeted by a group of females with small wings on their backs and shining halos above their heads. Soon Rakka鈥檚 own wings grow, a halo is placed on her head and she is told that she must work in the nearby town of Grie. She soon realizes that the town and the entire world they live in are confined behind the Wall, a tall, impenetrable wall that none except the mysterious Toga are allowed to exit.
Rakka, a newly born Haibane (Angel) awakens into an unfamiliar world with only a strange dream of falling from the sky as her only memory. Alone and scared of who and what she is, she is cared for by fellow Haibane as they try and search for the meaning of their existence as well as what lies beyond their town's imprisoning walls.
this anime blow my mind for the masseges that trasmit and the development of the characters is incredibly yoshitoshi ABe did it again he have created a very joyfull work of art if you have seen the others work of yoshitoshi well then this is a must see and not only for the fans of yoshitoshi is a must see for every person tha enjoy watching anime

Most beautiful Anime i ever watched.
Wish there were more like this out there.

I love anime like this. It's so different and worth the watching. The story is great and the animation is a bonus. It's so heartwarming and bittersweet that would leave you in tears in the end for many reasons and one of it is because it is the end of the series. I worth watching and one of my fav.
I'm only half-way though this series but it's amazing.
It's been awhile since I've seen an anime that so completely captivated me, I've barely left my chair since I started it and I'll probably be up all night watching the rest.
The animation is a little cheap every so often but other than that everything is top notch!
