Based on Idea Factory's romance adventure game: Yukimura Chizuru has come to Kyoto looking for her father, a doctor who has gone missing. While there, she witnesses a fight between an Oni and the Shinsengumi. Taking her into custody, the Shinsengumi debates on what to do with Chizuru when they discover that she is the daughter of the doctor they are also looking for. The Shinsengumi then takes Chizuru along on their search after the missing doctor, from adventures to adventures.

the story is a little bit too heavy, because of the history aspects in it. But overall, i like all cool the characters. They're so well-drawn. the fans of vampire knight will probably like this, because there are some vampiric story in it.
the highlight of this anime is its superb and artistic animation one of the best i've seen and if your into gorgeous boys, swords and a bit of crossdressing this anime will certainly entertain you! the first few episodes were a bit of a dragged but the good thing about this anime is that it doesn't exaggerate when it comes to sword fighting and they are done nicely as well. the relationship between the main character (who happens to be cross-dressing as a male) and the handful of men is also a bit of an interest and i look forward and how it will (read more)

If you like bishounen that have personality, then this is the anime for you. Season Two is coming in the fall of 2010 and I can't wait for it. I usually don't like shoujo titles but this one piqued my interest. It has historical references which can help you with your Japanese history. (That's how it helped me learn) There is its own variety of humor and dialogue to make the plot progress.
You can see that the animation quality is very high in this anime which makes your viewing experience a more enjoyable one. It's not very much on the (read more)

nothing special about this, mostly boring, less action. The story is still airing so, maybe it'll get interesting, I m looking forward for some lethal action, and extraordinary, superhuman. Like something happens, you snap; then you become an ultimate killing machine, yeah! it would something to see then.
Story (4/5) : I should have given it 3/5 because the way the anime is made is wrong. The plot was shown in the episode 9 (out of 12 maximum episode), everything before episode 9 was introduction and japon history ? Which is boring and pointless for most the part.
Dialogue (3/5) : Same type of dialogue in any other classic anime.
Animation (5/5) : the shows pretty good in HD and the fighting scene are well done, for most the part.
Entertainment (3/5) : to much history and blabla, not much fighting.
One of the better historical anime these past few tears. Though the heroine is your typical shoujo, she prove herself worthy. As for any bishounen fan, this anime is for you as it offer many different type of bishounen.
