It has been six months since Yoshiki Tsujinaka's best friend, Hikaru Indou, went missing in the mountains and returned a week later with no recollection of what had transpired. Certain that it is not the Hikaru he knows who came back, Yoshiki finally asks Hikaru about it. Suddenly, "Hikaru" reveals his true monstrous form and begs Yoshiki to keep it a secret, as he does not want to kill him.
Despite his paranormal nature, "Hikaru" seems almost innocent, full of childlike wonder and eager to experience the summer heat, the countryside, and all kinds of other things in a human body for the first time. And for Yoshiki, it matters little if "Hikaru" is a fake relying on stolen memoriesโas long as he never leaves again. As Yoshiki desperately clings to "Hikaru" in his intense grief, it becomes increasingly clear that something dangerous and supernatural may have descended from the mountains into their village.

Even through the ED is way too much of a spoiler, the OP-Song is quite good and the animation is better than the manga! Watched the Anime so far on Netflix. And I swear, I would download an it from there to upload it here if I could and knew how. T_T I am truly sorry.
Still it cannot be wrong to take a look at the Manga while waiting for the uploads here, since there are a few little changes in the chronology of events shown to the audience.
The relationship between fake-Hikaru and Yoshiki is quite entertaining. The Anime works with way more ( read more)

The relationship between fake-Hikaru and Yoshiki is quite entertaining. The Anime works with way more forshadowing, so one big surprise at least wont catch you off guard as the manga would. But the horror-elements are very good in the scariest way of meaning. The Anime has great potential ... unless the Mangaka goes back to work. here you can only buy vol. 1-6 and it stopps with a goddamn cliffhanger. I hope the Anime wont dissapoint me like that, since the Anime is FAAAAAAR from being finished. and so is the manga. Cant wait to see what comes next. ( show less)

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
