Summary: Hoshi no Koe ~Voices of a Distant Star~ is a story of a long distance love and mail messages between a boy and girl. Set in 2046 after the discovery of the ruins of an alien civilization on Mars, man has been able to make leaps in technology and is planning to send an expedition into space in the next year. Nagamine Mikako and Terao Noboru are junior high school students. However, while Noboru will be entering senior high next winter, Mikako is selected to join the space expedition.

I'll compare this movie with 5 cm/second. Such a beautifull science fiction if ever watched, not really emotional like 5cm/second, but the atmosphere of thier distance can make you feel so sad. I love how makoto shinkai put a simple dialogue in every scene on the whole movie, simple but so deep. Although the animation is in a different level with 5cm/second, I still enjoyed the show.
