Kuro, a 12th-century man, flees into the mountains after losing to his brother, where he meets a strange, beautiful woman named Kuromitsu. So I recently got finished watching the series, and I was a bit disappointed. The story and ideas surrounding the plot were interesting, but the the story itself just wasn't that deep. The series doesn't really tell us much about the characters, the action was slow paced most of the time, and there are just some weird events that occur without explanation. I think I will still read the manga though.

I liked the manga a lot more but this wasnt an all around bad series worth the watch at least.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
