Needs to be a warning before the show. "Not for dumb shits" Holy crap I had to pause and google everything that was going on every 5 seconds. I must say I have a better understanding of the world now. Really cool show though. It's got everything guns, girls, BOOBS, sword fights, mecha fights, androids, and magic. Awesome!

The synopsis caught my attention so I gave it a shot. Three episodes in, I'm already hooked and am going to watch it all.
Oddball characters, unusual setting, but somehow they're managing to make the characters interesting despite how unusual they are (not an easy task). I mean, giving a slime personality without any manner of real facial or body expressions isnt all that easy. It's also nice how they've got all this extremely high level technology yet the characters dont seem heavily affected by it unlike some series where the technology shapes (read more)

There are still a lot of things I don't understand, but I'm only three episodes in so I'm not worried if there are questions.
I'm looking forward to seeing the many questions answered over the course of the series. For a series to grab me, a rather jaded long time fan of anime like that speaks volumes about its quality. (show less)
This is a pretty good anime, I love how big and intricate the story is along with the foreshadowing done in the first few episodes. If you want to see more of the story Baka-tsuki is hosting a translation of the books thats far more in depth than the anime; this season was only the first book, but there are 10 books sofar.

Okay, a lot of people are saying, WTF is going on in this show because they don't understand it (me too). I mean sure, they may put in some great fight scenes but no one still doesn't know what the fuck is going on. But honestly, I've just now realized after actually rewatching the eps so far and not skipping anything, that this show is about politics and debating over the so-said issues, which is where the confusion lies. You will not get the plot of this show unless you have some sort of preknowledge of politics and economics or paid attention (read more)

You will not get the plot of this show unless you have some sort of preknowledge of politics and economics or paid attention in highschool during those classes. Because a lot of the things they say are true and you just have to stop and think about it for a second in order to get it.
As for the animation its really good...only issue is that if you've noticed....a majority of these female characters have freakishly large breasts!!! Plus they have too many characters, there's so many unneeded characters in this story. Honestly its almost like watching a video game when they fight, not cause its CG, cause it aint, its just their fighting style with the "Speed Boosts" "Power Boosts" "Defense Boosts" etc.
So here's a summary of the show to the point where anyone can understand (this is not a spoiler):
Future after the apocolypse, world is split up into different sections that all live in the sky. There's only a certain area on earth that's left inhabitable and the different "Sky Countries" as I'll call them, are fighting over it. Now it just so happens that the sky country that the main characters live on happen to be the bitch of the other countries, constantly being pushed around by laws even to the point where the president decided to freeze all money going into their country just for shits and giggles. So now the deuche Sky Country kidnapped a female character that happens to have a weapon of mass destruction inside of her. They ordered her to commit suicide for in a matyr sense, basically turning her into a figure head to blame for the way the world is due to the fact that it was the weapons that she can controls' fault (note, theres 9 weapons each for a 7 deadly sin, though they added 2 random sins, she can basically control all of them). So now the school peps don't want her to die so they're trying to figure out a way to save her, which in the end, means take her back by starting a war in which their country is up against the presidential top-dog deuche country. And so that's where it currently is left off...with them actually declaring a full-scale war (which the president easily follows by immedieatly sending people to kill them). So yeah, if you think this is a spoiler in complain, get over yourself. THis is basically the closest and simpliest bio of this plot. Cause believe me, you won't get what the F is going on unless you're into government stuff.
Oh yeah...the show has its amusing points but I wouldn't say its funny. But you can easily tell which characters are the important ones and which ones the creators decided to put in there most likely due to them smoking crack while animating. Hope this helps. (show less)
I like all aspects of this series! a little confusing and the comedy is good even though it's solely based on tori's comments, preverted and childish actions. Of course i love tori!!! The plot line, an interesting concept but can be a little complicated in understanding. I feel like the concept is something we've seen before in history, an example would be before the economy crashes, buy out the market and overthrow the current government and the church takes over as a political standpoint! I feel like Testament is the corrupt church, the control (read more)
