This anime i believe is on the same bracket with other animes such as Clannad, Clannad After Story and Rumbling Hearts aka Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien. Whilst being on the same bracket with these such titles it is also far ahead of such animes such as Air, in the sense of understanding and storyline
The storyline of Kanon is 24 episodes of pure entertainment, each episode filled with suspenseful gripping pieces of the story; however unlike some anime, Kanon is highly understandable and easy to follow.

I personally liked Kanon because of the storyline itself, filled with many emotions that any teenager my age would have gone through during high school, its easy to relate to, to some extent and thats the main reason why I personally consider Kanon one of my personal favourites, i highly recommend this to anyone that wants a tear jerking emotional anime, perhaps sit down with a certain loved one or close childhood friend and once your through you'll feel a whole new sense of love and appreciation towards that person and the memories you've had with them............. This was the "Senpai "(predecessor) of the "forever popular" Clannad.
The animation is pretty much the same, as some of the characters personality resembles Clannad (or in this case, Clannad is the one that resembles them :p)
This anime is a set of several stories that at some point focus in one single character; there's a total of 5 stories envolving 5 of the female characters. And each storie has the Drama component, that makes them really interesting! But there's not much room for the comedy type in this anime...
It's a very good anime, specially for the ones that like "deep-moving-tear" animes ^^

BUT! If we compare Kanon to Clannad, there's absolutely no comparison, Clannad is WAY~~ BETTER (at least for me)...it sometimes feels that the story is going a little too fast in Kanon, and you don't really feel the mood that the characters are in...

In the overall, it's a very good anime, and you'll certainly enjoy it ;) (show less)
