Summary:
Urusei Yatsura is the story of the unluckiest and most lecherous young man alive, Ataru Moroboshi. When aliens decide to invade Earth, Ataru is randomly selected to defend his planet by playing a game of the aliens national sport, tag. Should he win, the world shall be saved. However, Ataru is motivated for far less noble reasons, as the one he plays against is revealed to be the curvaceous alien princess, Lum. The game goes for 10 days, and on the last day, Ataru, motivated by his girlfriend assuring him marriage (and consequently, a marriage night one can assume) should he win, finally catches Lum. However, with his victory he gives a cry of joy for his coming marriage, which is misinterpreted by Lum to be a marriage proposal. She promptly agrees, beginning the two's "marriage" together.

Though old, anime starting in 1981, This anime is worth watching. 195 eps, and 6 movies. plus OVA's. It is worth watching. Created by Rumiko-Sensei, who later also created Ranma and Inuyasha. This is one anime you can not miss. The animation sucks, but considering when it was created, that is understandable. But the storyline is random and very well thought out. As you watch you will easily be able to Identify the different Characters. and start saying things like "Only Ataru" or "Serves him right" or even ask yourself "WTF? where did Cherry come (read more)

This is one anime you can not miss. The animation sucks, but considering when it was created, that is understandable. But the storyline is random and very well thought out. As you watch you will easily be able to Identify the different Characters. and start saying things like "Only Ataru" or "Serves him right" or even ask yourself "WTF? where did Cherry come from" Hearing Lum's voice calling "Darling" will melt your heart, and seeing Ataru getting electrocuted, Attacked, Stomped, Transformed, punched, Cursed, possessed, cloned, etc, will make you roll on the floor laughing out loud. You will start to love all of the characters, except Cherry. You will hate him, a lot(probably), Yet still love how he adds to the chaos. Please be warned, If you prefer anime to make sense, This is not your anime. However, If you like Gags, Romance, And perverts getting beaten up, then you will love Urusei Yatsura. However this anime is unpredictable so do not try to guess what will happen next. The eps are mostly One shots, but what happens in one episode, may have influence over another episode later on. Animation is poor, but it is an older show. You can't expect much more then that. think DBZ quality, not art.
Story is good, but you will need to understand Japanese to watch this since it has no subs. Overall it's a Meh, been done. if you're running out of things to watch, try it.
