Magi is a very interesting piece of anime, at first it goes at a slow pace but later u really see that the beginning was a build up of characters for the real action. It progresses in a steady, suspenseful mode that even I was glued to my seat from episode 7 till the end. The actions and magic used here is original and well thought of. Trust me this anime isn't a waste of time, you'll enjoy every moment of it.
As usual, i started watching without any expectation. But, watching further, i must say that it is indeed enjoyable. the characters is lovable and cute. The story itself is good too. We can see how strong their friendship with each other strengthen through the story. And since i like actions too, it really entertain me until the last episode. Definitely a good one.

If your looking for something different and exciting this anime is a great shot!
I've been watching Magi and reading it's manga at the same time. It's better
cuz' there are some important details in the story that wasn't completely in
the anime. (And the storyline in the anime is kinda different from the manga)
I'm a muslim myself and i don't find this anime insulting towards muslims or our religion in anyway. If it's about the names then they're arabic names not necessarily muslim names. And even if they were muslim names so what? Alibaba, Aladdin, Sinbad.. they're are fictional characters used in other stories that us arab/muslims know and are familiar with since youth, i don't see the problem in using those names in a different context. Besides i don't understand what's wrong in using them i mean they characters are epic if you ask me. Actually i'm (read more)

Actually i'm extremely happy about it and i really adore this anime, even if it ends before it should i'll definitely read the manga. Stop going through every detail and turning it into something offending, personally i laugh when i see those random arabic letters that make no sense whatsoever. Can't you just enjoy the anime and actually understand the story before protesting? (show less)

Now here's an anime which is very strongly made in every sense. The adventures, the settings, the characters, the magic, the storyline all are incredibly well thought out. The characters doesn't got the typical shonen stereotype way. The setting is beautiful. The adventures are engaging. The magic is well thoughout, the workings of rukh, Djinn Equips is a great idea. The script is well thoughout, the Balbadd storyline is a fine arc which is thought out well politically without trading in the entertainment. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants (read more)

A great anime with an engaging storyline. The whole setting is beautiful (I'd like an RPG please!). The whole concept of Djinn Equip is very well thought out. Has standard shonen characters like Alibaba or Sinbad but Alladin is quite peculiar character. Beautifully animated. And the usage of characters from "One Thousand and One Night" is a great idea. I'd recommend it to anyone, you'll not regret a single moment.
