It has a Durarara-vibe.
It's very confusing. Now people might say "it'll make sense soon", but on the negative side, the producers aren't doing a good job at trying to make it comprehensible. It's a pure mess, with horrid editing which will frustrate you more than entertain you.
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Being a fan of the original Vocaloid song series which the anime was based on, the Kagerou Project composed mostly by Jin, I had high hopes for this anime, much like other fans of the songs.However, based on the first episode, it was already a let down.
The animations seemed messy and unorganized, even the PVs of the songs were animated better, and they were each made by normally one person. The story would have been already confusing if it hadn't been for the background knowledge from the songs. However, the voice acting was better than average, ( read more)

I am only going to keep up with this anime due to falling in love with the Vocaloid songs, but if you're expecting a top-notch anime as good as the songs, you'll be thoroughly disappointed so far.
