Summary: Middle school 2nd year, Amano Yukiteru, is a boy who has problem making friends. He thinks of himself as a bystander and will always write down everything he sees in a cell phone diary. Tormented by solitude, Yukiteru began to imagine things like a friend called Deus Ex Machina who is apparently the Lord of Time & Space. Seeing Yukiteru's miserable state, Deus gives him a new ability. His diary will now record events that will happen in the near future. Yukiteru is then forced to participate in a game which the winner will become Deus's successor.

Mirai Niki when I first watched episode 1 I put it away in some folder and passed it off because it seemed a bit to strange, When I finally looked at it a second time I was bewildered by my previous judgement. The main character is what in our society we would call a "Bitch" because of various reasons, he does seem to have a sense of extreme morality in that he does make tough calls to save people only to regret it. I think thats the best part of the anime, the sane characters make the "right" choice, but the insane ones are usually right. The constant change of alliances in this "Dog eat Dog" anime kept my interest for the first season.

NOW, on to second season (episode 13-23~), does anyone else feel like they missed an episode sometimes? Becuase it seems like they rushed through season 2 to finish it up, which is why the story only got a 4 for me. It had good tempo then they sped it up way to quickly to introduce the rest of the characters and weed out the loose ends. In the second season it does have quite a few more "shit just got real" moments and really holds suspense when your not confused....

Last thing: Yuno is the craziest bitch of a character that I think ive ever seen in an anime, nuff said

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
