In the near future, mankind has suffered from a Third World War, leaving extreme damage all over and forced mankind to become even more distinct from their species. The world was at chaos and from this chaos comes a new species: “Needless”. The Needless are humans who have contracted a “disease” as humans may call them, and allow them to wield extraordinary powers far superior to any mankind. Their abilities include Telekinesis, elemental powers, gravity control, adaptation, radioactive release and all manners of scientific impossibility. |

I saw Needless on my recommendation list. I have to say. At first, judging from the title and story, I thought this is gonna be another Dragon-Ball-Z-ish anime where you have to fight and fight and fight; and with the main antogonist's unlimited power, this anime is gonna blow. Well, after watching it, I'm totally psyched.
I know from first look, it might sound boorish. But give Needless a chance, you will love it for sure!!
FYI, the anime and manga are completely different. Anime - Archlight died. Manga - still rocking

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
