This anime deserves much more credit so I decided to give high marks (to increase the total score). Story is very original, is divided in two story arcs. First half have more actions, intriguing and interesting characters but the second is deeper and scarier (some scenes like bloody room in demolish, old building reminds me a little of Silent Hill game). The realistic graphics was perfectly animated a beautiful female character (Hikary in Heian Chapter) and surroundings. is My only complaint is that I didn't like how is Hikaru's personality transform (read more)

Otogizoushi follows a group of characters through 2 arcs: one set in ancient Japan, and one in contemporary Tokyo. There is a sense of mystery in the story, and it does reach an answer to the mystery at the end, for those of you that don't like open endings. The first arc is definitely the stronger of the two. Overall, worth watching if you like historical, supernatural, and mystery series.
