Summary:
The story begins with Yggdrasil, a popular online game which is quietly shut down one day; however, the protagonist Momonga decides to not log out. Momonga is then transformed into the image of a skeleton as "the most powerful wizard." The world continues to change, with non-player characters (NPCs) begining to feel emotion. Having no parents, friends, or place in society, this ordinary young man Momonga then strives to take over the new world the game has become.
Very addictive, Love the anime, cannot ask for more than this

I have to admit, this anime series blew my imagination apart. If you like Log Horizon, Sword Art Online and any animes with similar genre, you will love this series. the animation couldn't be any better, especially while portraying strong emotional changes on the characters. The story is quite interesting, as you would expect from an anime of this genre, you will be drawn to it with hook and sinker after the first episode (sorry for beating around the bush, don't want to add ANY spoilers). You got to hand it to MADHOUSE, they create some of the best anime ever, but if they continue their usual method of releasing series, you shouldn't expect season 2 anytime soon or ever......... most of the time. when i come across an anime and i see its from MADHOUSE, i get mixed feelings, positive and negative. positive being that it will surely be an awesome anime and negative: 'Don't expect a second season'. but overall, i highly recommend this anime, you will thoroughly enjoy it and be left wanting more, even though i haven't finished it yet.......
