Summary:
In order to help a friend possessed by a spirit, Ozawa Haruka knocks on the door of her university's movie research association. There she meets Saitou Yakumo, a rude, unkempt young man with a red left eye, who is said to have spiritual powers. At first Haruka is skeptical, but she comes to believe him when he conveys messages from her older sister, who died when she was a child. Together, they work to shed light on the terrifying events happening at their university. But this is only the prologue of what's to come...

Good mystery anime and not overridden with gore. I really loved this anime and it has made its way into my permanent collection. Watch it if you are in the mood for a more serious anime with good psychological content and solid character development.
I read the manga and was attracted to the story line, its deep and meaningful, then when I knew there's also an anime, I was curious and totally fell in love with it. the animation is great, thou the story line is a bit different but still good, but I wish there would be more romance between yakumo and haruka :(

i love mystery anime. this anime is interesting and not made me boring
Really good story, like nothing I've seen before!
Lately I've had a hard time finding good anime series, but this one i awesome! - the story's unic, the characters are funny, and time fly's when ur watching ^^

I adore the (new reboot) Shinrei Tantei Yakumo manga, so I had alot of expectations when watching the anime. So far it has exceeded them. Which is very rare for me if I liked the mange 1st. I have only seen the first 5 eps at this point, but I do believe this will go down as one of my all time favs.

It was difficult at times to follow what was going on, and at times it felt like the story was dragging or skipping parts, but I liked it nevertheless. I think they also did a pretty good job bringing the whole story together at the end. Because it takes a more sombre tone, it sometimes feels too dramatic to enjoy, but it is most definitely worth it to check it out.
