To get the money to pay for a doctor for his father, Romeo bravely sells himself as a chimney sweep. On the way to Milan he meets Alfredo, a mysterious boy on the run heading to the same fate. Upon being separated and sold to their new bosses, the two boys swear eternal friendship.

It's a "must watch" anime for all ages, though its kinda old for sometime now and the animation was quite not animeISH, if you know what i mean. Mainly because its not a full japanese themed anime. Also, maybe because we've seen different anime series and we try to compare them, but by that time this animation was their best work. The storyline was perfect and I get carried away with most of the scenes.
I recommend this anime to those tearjerkers out there ^__^ enjoy!

I have wanted to see this anime for a while now, but have not been able to find it anywhere until recently. The story was top notch, though I wish I could give this anime a perfect rating and for being 17 years old it's probably has good animation for the time, but the animation isn't all that great.
If your looking for a great anime that was put together really well, I recommend this one to anybody. I was drawn in until the end and had the pleasant surprise of the anime actually being capped off well.
