Summary:
Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by giants. Giants are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by enclosing themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of giants. Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a giant in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a super giant that appears out of thin air. As the smaller giants flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single giant and take revenge for all of mankind.

well this anime might put you on the edge at first when you watch the first few episodes , you might even want to quit watching it .
You can quit , but this anime is worth watching !
Until and after the 10th or 14th episode you'll find it lame and end up thinking its no use fighting those creatures (titans)
But there comes the twist in the plots (which I don't wanna reveal) which will make you intrigued and trust me you'll watch it to the end .
Even after you complete this anime you'll have a feeling that something is lacking , it wasn't (read more)

The best anime of the year 2013 for sure.
The story is pretty solid and the characters are really easy to relate to. The terror in their voices when they are attacked by titans and the fear in their eyes, oh so real!
A must watch for all those who can stomach the gruesome titans and the ugly turn outs of the ones ones who get eaten.
