Summary:
On the first day of high school a beautiful girl named Haruhi Suzumiya introduces herself as having "no interest in ordinary humans". She asks for any aliens, time travelers, sliders or espers to join her. Watching her weird behaviour is Kyon who sits in front of Haruhi and is the only person who talks to her. When Kyon comments about Haruhi's joining every club in school and then quitting he unwittingly gives Haruhi an idea to start her own after school club. Thereafter Kyon and several others find themselves dragged, literally, into the Save our world by Overloading it with fun Suzumiya Haruhi's Brigade (the S.O.S. Brigade for short).
Story (1/5) : This is one of the very few "WTF" shows where they try hard to make an interesting story but fail really hard. The first AIRING episode almost made me drop the show from episode 1 until I realized it's a movie making episode, very very dumb and pointless. Now speaking of characters, you have the typical "I-don't-care-attitude" and the "the-female-lead-is-interested-in-me-for-no-reason" male lead surrounded by 3 girls and the dumb friend, a Harem setting, even though the show is not harem. Do not expect something epic from this, every episode seem very random.
Dialogue (3/5) : Maybe I didn't get the dialogue that much, but it wasn't really interesting.
Animation (5/5) : If there's only 1 reason to watch this show, it's for it art and animation. Extremely well done.
Entertainment (2/5) : Very boring, the girl wants to be special and hates being a regular human (ohhh the poor girl... not?) and ended up being the God of this world (LOL how can it get even more random than this).
Overall : Don't expect it to be a serious show with a good plot, it's random comedy and parody with great graphics and animation. (show less)
