The Summer of "Anu": In a summer once every five years, demons in the mysterious Tower of Druaga lose their powers due to the magic spell cast by a god named "Anu". King Gilgamesh, ruler of the kingdom Uruk, uses the appearance of demons as an excuse to invade the tower and find out the construct's secrets. As 80 years passed, the Uruk army managed to fight back the demons and built a fortress city and safe haven on the very first floor of Druaga - Metz Kier. Thus begins the story of a warrior named Jil who, finding companions along the way, embarks on a quest for the fabled Blue Crystal Rod, a powerful artifact rumored to be in the highest floor of Druaga. However, other competitors, including the kingdom of Uruk itself, want the treasure, all for their own reasons.
i certainly don't expect that this anime is so good. i merely watch this just to fill my free time before latest episodes of my favorite anime to come out. it have the hilarious, serious, sad, twist and action all in one anime. it's a pity that this anime didn't have much reception like ao no exorcist, SAO or other mainstream animes. so underrated..

All the character have a drop of idiocy on them ... !And they seem fanny in some Sirius situations!

I knew I would love this anime after watching the first episode, which parodies other anime and Sci Fi series. Really good anime and one of the few anime I can say has a good solid ending. I really like the fact that they left it a little open for a sequal but gave it a good ending anyhow. The animation is very well done and the magic users are done in such a different fashion that it is different than any other fantasy anime. It is a great mixture of midevil fantasy, magic, and asian belifs. A+ to the creators.

I wish the ending wasn't so open-ended, but the other season is already completed! DON'T read the summary for the second season unless you want this one to be spoiled

Hilarious, amazing, dramatic, parody, action, the perfect anime. This is one of the few series I can say that I saw season 1 in 1 day and season 2 the next. It's simply that good. It makes refrence to many great animes of today such as Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragon ball and Gurren Lagann (These three being the most obvious, up to you to figure out the rest :P). I'd say the most epic pun I've ever heard in anime history is here. Good for all ages, and a must watch for all of you.
