Moritaka Mashiro and Akito Takagi are pretty much foils of each other. Mashiro, an average 9th grade student but talented artist, and Takagi, an overall advanced 9th grader and aspiring writer. After great convincing, Takagi convinces Mashiro to join him in becoming the greatest mangakas Japan has ever seen. Takagi, with his gift of writing, hopes to become a successful mangaka, and Mashiro, with his gift of art, hopes to marry the girl of his dreams, Azuki Miho.

season one was Good but not as good as season two because our Heroes are slowly succeeding in their dreams and they don't have any Grudge for their enemy's rather they BECOME friends and compete with each other and encourage even their rivals not to give up on their dreams and interest
While watching "Bakuman2" I barely noticed "Bakuman 1" faults but unfortunately the manga this season was based on wasn't as good as the source of the first.
The story in this season is one of the lowest points of Bakuman. I almost read all the manga chapters but I nearly stopped reading when I read these chapters. It's still bakuman though and I'm pleasantly surprised at how captivating the anime became.
The conversations pretty much stay at the same level as in the first season but there are less interesting topics.

I've completely gotten used to the art style so I have no complaints about the animation.
Bakuman as a whole is a great series and most second seasons aren't as good as the first. Even though I more or less knew what was going to happen, I still felt the urge to always watch the next episode.
I'm looking forward to season 3.
What I liked:
- Great cliffhangers at the end of each episode, even the last.
- Good ending
What I didn't like:
- The plot developments in this season.
- Time skips make a bit more difficult to follow. (show less)
Season 2 is now over. I honestly thought this anime wouldnt make it so far, but as the creator of Death Note, this anime is legit. It ain't anything flashy, there's no action scenes (like death note), but there is this competitiveness that you get caught up in. In short the anime is about mangakas aiming to get their manga serialized as an anime. (yes the ones you are watching now.) And believe me it's a lot of work, dis ain't a joke folks, so appreciate it. (and pls don't write one piece reviews we all know it's awesome :D)
Bakuman is really something else. When you think that a dream to be a mangaka is impossible, these guys make em look possibly POSSIBLE!!
Don't watch this series if you haven't watched the first season yet, (yes this is a warning) since you'll lost in the middle of it.
Saikou and Shuujin are the best. They've matured a bit since their last season. Well, yeah~ both of them have already entered a college, and one of them is already having a family of his own.
This is not a normal shounen anime, either action, nor romance, or anything. Its (read more)

okay firstly this anime was awesome but the fact that it was created by the same person that made DEATH NOTE Made it instantly made it great since it was one of my favourites but if you enjoyed death note chances are you'll love this just as much they are very different but they both keep you thinking all the way through give it a shot you wont regret it
Hmmmmm.
Awesome anime sadly very few people watch it on one hand I understand why. Bakuman is nothing like most of the anime that was released with it on the other had it saddens me cause so MANY people are missing out of a purely terrific story with some good humor and suspense that I'd rather not relive to tell and well its just simple in a way which is what makes it so good and well unpopular here at anime-access. So to you who have not seen it watch it but fair warning this anime is seriously about content you wont see anything overly special (read more)

At first I thought this anime was going to be boring. However amazingly it really drags you in, and its really entertaining. You really can't predict what's going to happen next, there's always a twist in the tale. Well structured characters with a good plot. The time period in the anime passes by extremely quickly, which shows you just how much time it takes to make a manga.
