Moritaka Mashiro and Akito Takagi are pretty much foils of each other. Mashiro, an average 9th grade student but talented artist, and Takagi, an overall advanced 9th grader and aspiring writer. After great convincing, Takagi convinces Mashiro to join him in becoming the greatest mangakas Japan has ever seen. Takagi, with his gift of writing, hopes to become a successful mangaka, and Mashiro, with his gift of art, hopes to marry the girl of his dreams, Azuki Miho.

season one was Good but not as good as season two because our Heroes are slowly succeeding in their dreams and they don't have any Grudge for their enemy's rather they BECOME friends and compete with each other and encourage even their rivals not to give up on their dreams and interest
Bakuman is really something else. When you think that a dream to be a mangaka is impossible, these guys make em look possibly POSSIBLE!!
Don't watch this series if you haven't watched the first season yet, (yes this is a warning) since you'll lost in the middle of it.
Saikou and Shuujin are the best. They've matured a bit since their last season. Well, yeah~ both of them have already entered a college, and one of them is already having a family of his own.

okay firstly this anime was awesome but the fact that it was created by the same person that made DEATH NOTE Made it instantly made it great since it was one of my favourites but if you enjoyed death note chances are you'll love this just as much they are very different but they both keep you thinking all the way through give it a shot you wont regret it

Bakuman is nothing like most of the anime that was released with it on the other had it saddens me cause so MANY people are missing out of a purely terrific story with some good humor and suspense that I'd rather not relive to tell and well its just simple in a way which is what makes it so good and well unpopular here at anime-access. At first I thought this anime was going to be boring. However amazingly it really drags you in, and its really entertaining. You really can't predict what's going to happen next, there's always a twist in the tale. Well structured characters with a good plot. The time period in the anime passes by extremely quickly, which shows you just how much time it takes to make a manga.
This is a MUST WATCH for all anime fans. It shows the deep struggles that mangaka face before their work is finally recognised and published and then turned into an anime. It helps you to appreciate all the work that goes into creating stories that you--WE end up enjoying on Anime Access!!
Season 3 is scheduled for Fall 2012. Even then th story continues in manga!

You know all those anime that you know and love? Have you ever stopped to think how they were developed? Like what inspired the creators to make them....or how about all the hardships that they had to go through just to make an anime?
Bakuman will touch your heart and take you on the journey that these Creators went on. Struggling with an idea...then becoming a Mangaka...then finally after years of work..an Anime!
Bakuman should be a must watch for all Anime/Manga lovers. Understand how the ideas you know and love were created. (:
