Summary:
Two brothers lose their mother to an incurable disease. With the power of "alchemy", they use taboo knowledge to resurrect her. The process fails, and as a toll for using this type of alchemy, the older brother, Edward Elric loses his left leg while the younger brother, Alphonse Elric loses his entire body. To save his brother, Edward sacrifices his right arm and is able to affix his brother's soul to a suit of armor. With the help of a family friend, Edward receives metal limbs - "automail" - to replace his lost ones. With that, Edward vows to search for the Philosopher's Stone to return the brothers to their original bodies, even if it means becoming a "State Alchemist", one who uses his/her alchemy for the military.

Based on my previous experience in the later installment of the series,
this one is for true Manga Fans because based totaly on the official storyline,
note you that i'm an Hardcore fan of the first series !
This one goes more in depth, in the world of fullmetal, and it leaves no stone unturned,
there for if you are a Anime Fan of its predecessor, or a Manga Fan you are in for a joy ride...

FMA Brotherhood is different story with FMA even have many similar character. The story is not gore, more fun, not tragic, sand can't kill good character. Brotherhood has many fanservice like pairing Ed with Winry, love troubles, the homonculus some are different and they not human unlike FMA ,no sacrifice or death(only Hughes who died but not as sad as FMA). I recommend to watch this after some times rest watched FMA to not think that the character is same, Ed in Brotherhood is not serious type, childish, less smart, and easier to angry

+ nice storyline with both action and drama that includes some twists, not to mention follows the manga more closely than the original fma
+ well done chara backstories + development

- earlier eps are hard to follow if you're completely new to the series (started this off, didn't get what was going on, read the manga, came back, and suddenly understood.... lol)
- rather simple-minded here or there, very very random villain
- pace and artwork aren't always consistent... but that's minor

conclusion: a pretty good watch among all the famous shounen, keeps you hooked with a mixture of action and drama, and its comedy doesn't ridicule the charas. also explains a lot more of the background from the original fma. personally, i like this better than the original version, but a lot of people might not agree with me there.
I read that and I was, like, wow this guy is a retard. You realize this actually goes off of the manga right? Aka the actual original. The first FMA anime didn't follow the manga at all.
Do some research before letting your fingers fly about your keyboard like a flailing retarded seagull.

the main reason I love it is how the anime series is focused on the main story right from the start. ( no fillers, I think, coz I nvr read the manga )
I nvr watch fma but fma brotherhood seems to be interesting so I give it a try.
The story IS twisted but not that twisted. Get it? xD The main goal is for the elric brothers to gain their leg, arm and the whole body for alphonse, and that is the story from the very beginning until the end. Though there were suprises along the way. It is not too complicated.

it`s better then normal vers but have a lot of mistakes in drawing..
example:3rd episode and edward in one scene has a usuall right auto-mail had in next his left hand is auto-mail..

Dialogue: The Dialogue is fair. It's got some not so good parts (like everything) but it's still very good. It makes it so that the characters are lovable and at the same time "evil" and "cool".
Animation: From what I've seen the animation is amazing. It's really good looking, realistic anime wise. HD makes it 10x better. If you're one of them "I only watch high quality, amazingly animated animes" then this is one you should try.
Entertainment: It's great. It's entertaining, funny, theres action, drama, and lots of adventure. All the category's have been blended in so well. It did get a bit boring at parts (for me). But the other 95% of the anime is all awesomeness.
Conclusion: This anime is defiantly a top favorite. It's got so many cool things involved. If you like anime with Drama, action, adventure and comedy. I highly, highly recommend this. You won't be disappointed.

This anime is really good although there are some parts where it could be better but the storyline is great, loved this anime and i hope I can find an anime similar to this one

THis was a gud anime i enjoyed it although there are many animes greater than this one it doesnt say this is not a good anime. I give it a good in all story dialogue animation and entertainment. This was a very enjoyed anime
