Summary:
Two brothers lose their mother to an incurable disease. With the power of "alchemy", they use taboo knowledge to resurrect her. The process fails, and as a toll for using this type of alchemy, the older brother, Edward Elric loses his left leg while the younger brother, Alphonse Elric loses his entire body. To save his brother, Edward sacrifices his right arm and is able to affix his brother's soul to a suit of armor. With the help of a family friend, Edward receives metal limbs - "automail" - to replace his lost ones. With that, Edward vows to search for the Philosopher's Stone to return the brothers to their original bodies, even if it means becoming a "State Alchemist", one who uses his/her alchemy for the military.

its awesome! ;) no doubt it is.
most of my friends who watch anime, most of them actually recommended this series to me. i gave it a try and i loved it! and i'll definitely gonna watch it again. i think its classy, funny, and full of unexpected moments. i preferred this one better than FM with its original storyline.
Alright onto the series, at the beginning, it may rushed a bit from how he turned to state alchemist, his past life with human transmutation and etc etc. but skip that part, the adventure was awesome. this version has better animation, movement and awesome characters as well.
the opening and ending song was equally great. i love one especially from YUI and nico touches the wall. i love how the embedded some of the song, OST into some scenes. it makes the series feels so real and alive. the story of the brotherhood was just so beautiful, the friendship, trust and i loved the part how they work to bring the enemy down. there are so many unexpected moments which is an additional points. this series is PERFECT for anime lovers. compared to the other version, the ending when to a slightly weird direction, but this one was amazing. it gives you all the positive vibe, like after everything they've gone through its all paid off.
i highly recommend Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. its just plain awesome. how it doesnt deviates from its original storyline makes it more meaningful for manga lover. dont get me wrong, i like the earlier one too, but this version was way better and awesome. ;) have fun watching!
