Summary: In the 21st century, a family of vampires settled down on the grounds of Japan and lived a modest life whilst sucking on the blood of humans discreetly. However, the eldest daughter of the family, Karin Maaka, has an embarrassing secret which cannot be revealed to anyone. Even though she is a vampire, she does not lack blood like her family members. Instead, she overproduces blood to the extent that she transfuses the excess into her victims, hence increasing their blood levels. Despite her troubling body characteristic, she attends school like any other high school student, that is until a new transfer student, Kenta Usui, enters her life.

This is a great anime, it shows that vampires are not all scary. Some are beautiful with huge melons. WATCH and you will love this anime too.

Vampires in this anime respond to strong emotions in humans according to what each vampire prefers: for example, Maka responds to unhappiness while her brother responds to stress. When Maka's brother feeds off a woman, her stress is relieved and when Maka gives someone her blood, that person (read more)

what made me give this anime a shot was the whole vampire that needs to give blood instead of sucking it.
i found that to be hilarious, the anime has a decent story and animation but it is entertaining, what else could you expect from a romantic comedy. The anime stays true to the manga Chibi Vampire(recomended read).
