On the first day of high school a beautiful girl named Haruhi Suzumiya introduces herself as having "no interest in ordinary humans". She asks for any aliens, time travelers, sliders or espers to join her. Watching her weird behaviour is Kyon who sits in front of Haruhi and is the only person who talks to her. When Kyon comments about Haruhi's joining every club in school and then quitting he unwittingly gives Haruhi an idea to start her own after school club. Thereafter Kyon and several others find themselves dragged, literally, into the Save our world by Overloading it with fun Suzumiya Haruhi's Brigade (the S.O.S. Brigade for short).

So much of this anime repeats, partly because of how the original series was written and partly because of how it got uploaded. So here is my download guide. The episodes worth downloading are:
1-2
9-14
25-28
Skip 3-8, they are a repeat of episode 2 with some wardrobe changes. Episode 9 is also a repeat of episode 2, but there is a different (though predictable) resolution at the end.
Skip 15-24. As far as I can tell, episodes 15-24 are a repeat of the first 14 epsiodes. It gets confusing and hard to tell, given that the anime makers have (read more)

When we finally break free from the infinite 8, we get into an annoying story arc where Haruhi exhibits increasingly mentally and physically abusive behavior toward poor Asahina San. One has to endure the frustration of Haruhi getting away with it repeatedly like a spoiled brat, and with constant, annoying whining sounds coming out of Asahina.
Since I made it to episode 25, I shall finish, though it looks like 26 at least partly repeats 25.
Paired down to 12 episodes, this is a manageable watch. But I must say that I seriously hate Haruhi now. (show less)
